I am so tired of the distractions, and it takes a special brand of gravitas for the McC[ompl]ain campaign to get upset that people aren't talking to them about "issues" when they are the ones that have decided to go semi-nuclear in JULY. The conventions haven't even rolled around, and we're already on RACE. When Barack Obama has to "denounce" a song written by an artist that is not even officially connected to the campaign, it's a bit ridiculous. He's not responsible for the actions of ALL Black people. The McC[ompl]ain camp has gone PERSONAL already, when they complain about Obama "attacking" them, Obama has yet to say ANYTHING to personally disrespect or demean McC[ompl]ain. No matter how personal the attacks get, Obama shrugs it off and hits McC[ompl]ain on his crappy policies (Lord knows he's got a lot to choose from). I watched the video of Andrea Mitchell interviewing Rick Davis, and they are mad because Obama is on the cover of magazines? Seriously? It's not OBAMA'S fault that he's more marketable. Who wants to read about an angry old man?
Honestly, this is backfiring on them somewhat in the media. McC[ompl]ain was the one who said he wasn't interested in running a nasty negative campaign. All of that went out the window when he realized he was losing, then he hired Rove's crew and has lost all pretense of planning to run a "civil" campaign. Now the mindless media is just following his lead. Now it's not about voting FOR a candidate necessarily, or even on policy, it's about whether or not McC[ompl]ain can scare enough people sooooooooo much that they will come out and vote against Obama.
I've been watching the Obama town-halls for months now, and I've never heard anyone ask him about the color of his skin, or his popularity, or what he eats for breakfast people want to know how he is going to make their lives better. But whatever you do don't forget Obama is RISKY!

Update This morning on the Today Show, Rick Davis said that John McCain has always stood for Equal Rights which shows that he's not a racist. That is bullshit. John McCain has been given the grade of "F" for at least the past 4 years by the NAACP. There's no way he'd have an F if he was standing up for equal rights. Add to that the fact that he doesn't believe in equal pay for equal work OR the right to choose. And Matt Lauer didn't call him on it.
